The Center for Healthy Churches is pleased to announce Dr. Greg Rogers has joined our team of Consultants and Coaches. Greg has recently retired from his 35-year tenure as Senior Pastor at Oakmont Baptist Church in Greenville, North Carolina. He has served in numerous leadership roles on various community and denominational boards, agencies, and councils. Greg is a mentor to mentors and has developed and led initiatives for helping pastors and churches thrive in a changing culture.
Greg earned a B.A. degree in philosophy and religion from N.C. State University, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
An ICF Associate Certified Coach and High-Performance Patterns coach, he coaches individuals, congregations, and businesses, as well as serving as a speaker and retreat leader. He has worked with individuals and teams exploring mission, vision, and core values, as well as spiritual formation, missional engagement, ministry and work transitions, and personal issues. He brings his own spiritual and pastoral experiences in serving congregations for over 46 years as resources to the coaching relationship.
In his leisure time he enjoys competitive tennis, biking, and reading. Greg and his wife Leslie, a retired community college administrator, have been married for 43 years.
