About Steve Lindsley

Steve Lindsley brings three decades of parish ministry experience to his consulting work. In addition to his work with Center for Healthy Churches/PneuMatrix, Steve is a Senior Ministry Strategist with Horizons Stewardship and an ICF-certified professional coach. An ordained minister in the PCUSA, he received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest, an MA in Christian Education from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, an M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Steve has also received the Executive Certification in Religious Fundraising through the acclaimed Lake Institute on Faith and Giving.
When it comes to the numerous challenges now facing the American church, Steve believes fervently, in the words of PCUSA Stated Clerk J. Herbert Nelson, that “the church is not dying - it is transforming.” Longing to help church leaders and churches be part of that transformation, Steve comes alongside congregations as they address two simple yet fundamental questions: “What’s next?” and “What if?” Prayerful discernment, visioning, strategic planning, thoughtful transition work, and revitalization efforts are all strengths Steve brings to our shared work.
Steve is a keynote speaker/guest preacher, worship song leader, and singer/songwriter, having released five albums available on all streaming services. He and his wife, Lorie, have two adult sons and live in Charlotte, NC with two dogs, two cats, and the occasional foster animal.
You can contact Steve by emailing him at SteveL@chchurches.org.

It has been such a pleasure working with Steve as our Discernment Team works toward merging two churches together.
