About Pen Peery
Pen Peery brings over 20 years of pastoral ministry and leadership to the CHC-PMX team. Currently serving as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC, where he has led for 12 years, Pen has also pastored congregations in Shreveport, LA, Richmond, VA, and Atlanta, GA. He serves on the board of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.
Through his extensive experience, Pen has developed a deep understanding of the importance of leadership that aligns with the culture and specific season of a church’s ministry. He has also witnessed how Spirit-filled generosity can unlock joy and new possibilities for faith communities.
Married to the Rev. Lindsey Wells Peery for 22 years, Pen is a dedicated father of four children. Outside of ministry, he is an avid runner, Peloton enthusiast, experimental cook, and a devoted UNC Tar Heel fan.

Pen is excited to expand his service to the broader church through CHC-PMX, with a focus on pastoral searches and stewardship development, including capital campaigns.
