About Mike Clingenpeel*
After retiring from River Road Church, Baptist in Richmond, Virginia in 2015, Mike Clingenpeel reflects on a distinguished 42-year career as an ordained minister. Over three decades, he served as a pastor in churches spanning Indiana, Michigan, and Virginia. His impact extended beyond the pulpit, as he dedicated over 12 years to being the editor and business manager of the Religious Herald, the news journal of the Baptist General Association of Virginia. Mike's influence has reached over 250 churches through his preaching, complemented by the publication of numerous articles. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of ministers, supervising seminarians and prospective ministers in preaching and leadership.
