About Ruth Perkins Lee
Rev. Ruth Perkins Lee holds a deep affection for the local church. Over the course of her ministry, she has served as a preacher, educator, facilitator, and trusted conversation partner, guiding churches through the complexities of ministry. Ruth earned her BA in Psychology from Columbus State University and her M.Div. with an emphasis in Christian Education from McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. She spent a decade in local church ministry as Minister of Students, where she nurtured relationships with young people from 6th grade through graduate school.
Ruth's commitment to local congregations has extended into denominational roles, including her current position as Project Director of the Ministry Collaboratory at Princeton Theological Seminary, a role supported by the Lilly Endowment’s Young Adult Initiative. Ruth brings expertise in organizational development, including crafting strategic frameworks, streamlining processes, and bringing clarity to complex systems.
Ruth is married to Scott, a dedicated chaplain, and they are proud parents of two daughters, Dora and Abby Kate. As a family, they delight in storytelling and shared laughter.
