About David Hull
Since 1980, David Hull has been dedicated to pastoral service, having led five distinct churches that span diverse settings. His journey commenced in a rural church in Kentucky, followed by pioneering a new church in the suburbs of Charlotte, NC. Subsequently, he served a small town "county seat First Baptist" in Laurens, South Carolina. Transitioning from the small town, he became the pastor of a downtown First Baptist church adjacent to a university in Knoxville, TN. For twelve years, David further expanded his pastoral experience as the leader of First Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama, located in the vibrant "Rocket City."
Each unique ministry opportunity has significantly broadened David's comprehension of the church and deepened his affection for congregations of all types. In 2014, David transitioned from pastoral ministry and joined CHC when his wife, Jane, assumed the role of pastor at Union Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Watkinsville, GA. In addition to his consulting work, David has contributed as an Adjunct Professor at McAfee School of Theology of Mercer University and served as an Interim Pastor in various churches throughout the Southeast.
David and Jane share a family with two children and three grandchildren. They currently reside in Winston-Salem, NC, where their collective experiences continue to shape their perspectives on ministry and community life.
